AAA Expo 2026 Recap: Three Days That Exceeded Our Expectations

We just got back from the 2026 Asia Amusement & Attractions Expo in Guangzhou, and honestly, it went better than we hoped.
Our booth (B15, Hall 3.1) had non-stop traffic from day one. The first two days were especially packed, with visitors lining up to see our demos and ask questions. By the end of the show, we had collected over 100 leads and identified at least 5 major business opportunities to follow up on.
Here's what happened.
Who Came to See Us

We expected interest from the Asian market, and we got that. But what surprised us was how many visitors came from the Americas and beyond.
We had multiple conversations with large US arcade operators who came to Guangzhou to source machines. Several of them were actively looking for a cashless payment solution that wouldn't cost a fortune to deploy across their fleet. When they saw Tribox and heard the price point, the reaction was immediate.
We also met major amusement operators and distributors from Colombia, Argentina, and Brazil. One group from Colombia currently operates over 1,000 machines and showed strong interest in our Tri20 solution with Bre-B, a popular local payment method in the Colombian market.
European visitors also stopped by and expressed interest, which is encouraging. Europe is still on our roadmap, but the conversations we had there gave us a real confidence boost that there's demand waiting for us when we're ready.
What Got People Excited
But before we get into specifics, there was something bigger happening at the booth that we didn't fully expect. A lot of visitors came in with the assumption that cashless payment means a card reader. That's it. Tap a card, done. When we showed them QR Scan & Go, you could see the moment it clicked. Wait, the customer just scans with their phone camera? And they can choose Apple Pay, PayPal, Venmo, whatever they want? No card reader on the machine at all? For many of them, this was the first time they realized payment could work in a completely different way. They had never even considered it as an option. And once they saw it, the reaction was almost always the same: why would I go back to a card reader?
On top of that, two things stood out above everything else.
The cost of Tribox. Over and over, visitors told us they had looked into cashless payment options before but couldn't justify the cost, especially for simpler machines like claw games, capsule toy machines, and kiddie rides. When they learned how affordable Tribox is compared to a traditional card reader, the conversation shifted from "that's interesting" to "how fast can we get started."
Prize detection. This one caught people off guard. Most payment devices on the market don't offer this feature at all or don't get it done right. For those who don't know what we are talking about, here's what it does: when a player wins a prize on a claw machine or redemption game, Tribox detects that the prize has been dispensed and sends a notification to the operator through Orbit Hub. Without this feature, operators have no way of knowing a prize has been won unless they physically check each machine. For someone running 50 or 200 claw machines across multiple locations, that's a big deal. One operator told us he currently sends staff around to manually check every machine, sometimes twice a day. Prize detection alone was enough to get several visitors to request a pilot.
One visitor put it simply: "You are THE ONE I've been searching for." That kind of feedback keeps us going.
What We Showed
We brought Tribox, Tri20, and Tri-Lux to the show, alongside a live Gasha vending machine (a big shout out to the sponsor Wangerbao Topgasha :)) running Tribox so visitors could experience the full payment flow themselves. Scan the QR, pick a payment method, pay, and watch the machine vend. Seeing it work in person made a much bigger impact than any brochure or slide deck ever could.

We also walked visitors through Orbit Hub, showing them how operators can monitor sales, track transactions, configure payment methods, and yes, get prize detection alerts, all from one dashboard.
What We Learned

Trade shows always teach you something. Here's what stuck with us from AAA Expo 2026:
The demand for affordable, easy-to-maintain cashless payment in the amusement industry is real and growing fast. Operators are tired of overpaying for complicated systems. They want something that works, costs less, and doesn't require a technician every time something goes wrong.
Factory pre-installation is a message that resonates. Several machine manufacturers at the show asked about integrating Trilad Tech payment into their production line so machines ship ready to earn. We had pitched this idea coming in, and the response confirmed we're on the right track.
South America is a huge opportunity. The conversations we had with operators from Colombia, Argentina, and Brazil showed us that these markets are hungry for flexible payment solutions that support local payment methods alongside global ones.
What's Next
We're already following up with every lead from the show. If you visited our booth and we exchanged contacts, expect to hear from us soon.
And for those of you in the US amusement industry: we'll be at IAAPA Expo 2026 in Orlando this November, Booth W2750 in the West Building. More details on that coming soon.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by Booth B15. The energy, the questions, and the conversations reminded us why we do what we do.
See you at the next one.

Trilad Tech builds end-to-end cashless payment solutions for unattended machines. QR Scan & Go, EMV card readers, and a cloud management platform, all developed in-house. We work with operators and machine manufacturers across the Americas and beyond.
